Ryabov Oleg Mykhailovych

1932-1996

Soviet and Ukrainian conductor. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1977).
Biography.

In 1958, he graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory, class of O. Klymov.

Since 1959, he worked as a conductor of the Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble of the Ukrainian SSR, in 1960-1965 and again in 1970 - of the Ukrainian Opera and Ballet Theater.

In 1966-1970 he was an intern and later conducted at the Bolshoi Theater.

He conducted operas:

"The Masquerade Ball",
"La bohème,
"Dzerzhinsky's The Fate of Man,
"Kholminov's Opytmistychna Tragedy,
"The Queen of Spades,
"The Taming of the Shrew,
"Ivan Susanin,
"Tosca,
"The Pearl Seekers" by Bizet,
"Chio Chio San"

Ballets:

"Bakhchisaray Fountain",
"Swan Lake,
"Lilea by Dankevich,
"Raymond",
"Romeo and Juliet,
"Spartacus.

He conducted symphony concerts and performed abroad.

O. Ryabov's brother, Ihor Ryabov, is a Ukrainian pianist and methodologist, Honored Artist of Ukraine.
