Ryabov Ihor Mykhailovych (1930-2006) was a Ukrainian pianist, methodologist, professor of the Department of Special Piano at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Biography.
Graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in the class of Professor Y. Zak. Since 1954, he has worked at the Kyiv Philharmonic and the Lysenko Kyiv Special Music School. Since 1964, he has been teaching at the Kyiv Conservatory, and since 1984 he has been the head of the special piano department.
He has trained over 150 pianists, including Valentyna Lysytsia, Dmytro Naidych, Volodymyr Tyurin, Viktoriia Yermolieva, Iryna Riabchun, Irena Portenko, Veniamin Levytskyi, Artem Liakhovych, Alina Romanova, Anastasiia Lukhianenko, Iryna Starodub, Yevhen Dashak, Olena Sikalova, Oksana Yevsiukova, Yevhen Kolechko and others. For many years he has been engaged in scientific and methodological work. He is the author of many articles and books on piano technique. He has conducted master classes in various cities of Ukraine, chaired examination commissions at higher and secondary educational institutions, and worked as a member and chairman of the jury at international competitions.

Brother of I. Ryabov - Oleh Mykhailovych - conductor, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
Son of I. Ryabov - Serhii Ryabov - pianist, associate professor of the NMAU.
Daughter of I. Ryabov - Sabina Ihorivna - pianist.
Grandson of Ihor Ryabov - pianist, associate professor of the NMAU, PhD in Art History, winner of international competitions.
