Andrii Platonovych Rodzianko (3 (15) December 1839, Platonivka, Poltava province, Russian Empire - year of death unknown) was a Ukrainian pianist.
Biography.
He was born in the village of Platonivka, now part of the village of Puzykove, Hlobynskyi district, Poltava region, Ukraine.
His father, Platon Havrylovych, was a leader of the nobility in the Khorol district. Both he and his brother Arkadii Havrylovych were close friends of Taras Shevchenko.
In 1861, Andrii Rodzianko graduated from Kyiv University.
He studied piano with the Czech pianist Kotlyar, and in 1860 he improved his skills in Weimar with Franz Liszt.
Rodzianko's art was highly appreciated by O. Serov and O. Dargomyzhskyi. In the late 1860s, he returned to Ukraine.
Creativity
He gave concerts in Russia and Ukraine: in Kyiv, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.
