Rare-bearded Stepan is a baritone bandura player.
He was born into a wealthy family in the village of Kanivska in the Kuban. He graduated from the Krasnodar Labour Faculty and the Krasnodar Agricultural Institute. He studied kobzarism with M. Varrava and S. Zharko. He is a member of the bandura ensemble of the Krasnodar club "National Man". He actively performed as a soloist and ensemble player, in particular on the city and regional radio. Bandura players V. Lazarenko (1900 - 1994), M. Varrava, K. Nimchenko (1903 - 1980) and others highly appreciated R.'s kobza art.
According to V. Lazarenko, he died in the NKVD torture chambers.
