Reynarovych Lev Potapovich

1914-1987

Lev Potapovych Reynarovych (14 January 1914, Knyazhpil village - 31 January 1987, New York) was a Ukrainian baritone singer from the Peremyshl region of Galicia.

Biography.
In 1932, he graduated from the State Gymnasium with Ukrainian as the language of instruction in Przemyśl. He graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Music Institute in Lviv.

Since 1941 he has been a soloist at the Lviv Opera House, and since 1946 he has been a member of the Ukrainian Opera Ensemble under the direction of Bohdan Piurko in Germany.

He has performed in New York and other cities in concerts and on television.

He has sung the roles of Scarpio (Tosca), Escamillo (Carmen), Karas (Cossack Beyond the Danube), Henry I (Anna Yaroslavna, Antin Rudnytsky), and others.
