Reva Viktor Yakovych

1954

Ukrainian composer, member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine (since December 14, 2006, membership card No. 516). Diploma winner of the International Festival of Author's Song in the nomination "Choral Singing" (Melitopol, 1997).

Biography.

In 1980 he graduated from the Chisinau State Music College named after Stefan Năga, and in 1985 from the Donetsk State Music and Pedagogical Institute, specializing in choral conducting. At the university, he studied choral conducting with Professor V. L. Bakharev and choral singing with Professor P. D. Horokhov.

For more than 20 years V. Reva worked as a teacher at Melitopol State Pedagogical University and Mykolaiv State University named after V. Sukhomlynskyi. For over 15 years, he directed the student choir of Melitopol State Pedagogical University.

Since 2007, he has been working as a teacher at the music school in Novohrodivka, Donetsk region.

V. Reva is a diploma winner of the International Festival of Author's Song in the nomination "Choral Singing" (Melitopol).

In 2009, he became a laureate of the Donetsk Regional Competition "Our Thought, Our Song Will Not Die, Will Not Perish", which was held within the framework of the Folk Project "From the Past to the Future".

Since 2006, V. Reva has been a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. His works include orchestral, chamber and instrumental, choral works and an operetta. V. Reva and V. Yurechko are the authors of the libretto for the opera "The Way of Taras" by O. Rudiansky.

Reva's musical works were performed at international festivals: "Eurofanfares without Borders" (Villefranche de Roerg, France), "Chervona Ruta" (Zaporizhzhia), Slavic Piano Music (Melitopol), Slavic Writing (Mykolaiv) and "Kyiv Music Fest".
