Oleksandr Reshetov (* July 4, 1937, Petrovo) is a Ukrainian philosopher, teacher, and amateur composer. Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor. Corresponding member of the International Personnel Academy. He is an excellent student of Ukraine.
In 1966 he graduated from Leningrad State University. For a long time he worked in production, state and party work, and headed the department of science and educational institutions.
Since 1977, he has been working at the Kirovohrad Institute of Agricultural Engineering (now the Central Ukrainian National Technical University) as a senior researcher, associate professor, and vice rector for educational work (1989-1993). Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Philosophy.
Scientific activity
Research focus: problems of the dialectic of personality and society. Author of more than 100 scientific works and teaching aids in philosophy, logic, religious studies.
Author of the textbook "Logic" (Kirovograd, 2002).
Co-author of textbooks:
"Philosophy in Brief" (Kirovohrad, 2003; second supplemented edition - Kirovohrad, 2005),
"Religious Studies" (Kirovohrad, 2006).
Composer's activity
Oleksandr Reshetov is the author of the collections of songs "Melodies of the Soul" (2002), "The Soul Sings" (2004) and "Melodies of the Starry Rain" (2005), published in Kirovohrad by Imex-Ltd.
In June 2002, a collection of songs by amateur composer Oleksandr Reshetov "Melodies of the Soul" was published. Its presentation took place at the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Music and Drama Theater. The evening was hosted by Honored Artist of Ukraine Valeriy Deinekin.
On November 19, 2004, the Kirovohrad Regional Music and Drama Theater named after Marko Kropyvnytskyi hosted the presentation of Reshetov's second collection of songs "Soul Sings".
In July 2006, a CD by composer Oleksandr Reshetov was released. It includes songs based on the words of Kirovohrad poets and performed by local singers.
Awards.
On April 20, 2004, Reshetov was awarded the Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "for his significant personal contribution to the development of education and science, conscientious work, and high professionalism".
On May 15, 2007, by the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Reshetov was awarded the Petro Mohyla badge for many years of conscientious work, significant personal contribution to the development of the scientific sphere and on the occasion of the Day of Science.
