Andrii Andriiovych Rachynskyi, coat of arms Yastrubets (November 24, 1724, Velyki Mosty - 1794, Novhorod-Siverskyi) was a Ukrainian statesman of the Hetmanate era. Professional composer and conductor.
He came from a noble family of the Raczynski family of the Yastrubets coat of arms from Podlasie.
He was educated in Lviv, where he was a regent of the bishop's chapel for three years. From 1753 he was a court chapel master of Hetman Kyrylo Razumovsky. Sotnyk of Novhorod-Siversk (1763-1781), bunchuk comrade (1780), head of the II Department of the Novhorod-Siversk Supreme Council (1781-1796).
His wife, Maryna, was the daughter of a bunchuk comrade Ivan Yavorsky, a nephew of Metropolitan S. Yavorsky and a relative of the General Pidskarbiy Yakiv Markevych; his son, Havrylo, was a famous violinist, guitarist, and composer. His great-grandson Oleksandr Rachynskyi was a zemstvo activist, deputy of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian People's Republic, and a close friend of the Moscow writer Alexei Tolstoy.
Andrii Rachynskyi was also a chamber musician at the court of Peter III. In 1790, he successfully selected singers for the Court Singing Chapel in Ukraine.
He was a member of the patriotic Novhorod-Siverskyi circle, whose members were also famous personalities of the time (Mykhailo Myklashevskyi, Fedir Tumanskyi, Vasyl Kapnist), and advocated the restoration of the Hetmanate and the political sovereignty of Ukraine.
Creative work
Author of church works (concertos), he also paid attention to Ukrainian folk music. He introduced the Italian style of singing in Razumovsky's chapel. The famous Razumovsky music library (later in the State Public Library of the Ukrainian SSR in Kyiv) was founded by Rachynsky.

On June 13, 2011, in the city of Velyki Mosty, Sokal district, Lviv region, a memorial plaque to composer and conductor Andrii Andriiovych Rachynskyi was unveiled on the facade of the Velyki Mosty Children's Art School.
