Mykola Volodymyrovych Protsenko (* 19 December 1921, Nizhyn - † 30 September 1962, Kyiv) was a Ukrainian singer (baritone), known for his performances in the Veriovka Choir (1949-1951) and the Kyiv Operetta Theatre (1952-1962). Grandson of Fedir Protsenko.
Mykola was born in Nizhyn on 19 December 1921 in the family of Volodymyr Protsenko (1899-1937) (the son of the famous choirmaster and teacher Fedir Protsenko (1866-1942)) and teacher Tetiana Ivanenko (1901-1984). During the Soviet era, Mykola's father became a trade unionist and head of the city's education department. In 1937, he was repressed, after which his grandfather Fedir Danilovych adopted Mykola and his sister Liusia and they were registered with the patronymic Fedorovych.
During the German occupation in Nizhyn, Mykola was the deputy head of an underground group of actors.
1949-1951 - soloist (baritone) of the H. H. Veriovka Choir.
1952-1962 - soloist at the Kyiv Operetta Theatre.
He was married to the Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR A. Savchenko, who also worked at the Kyiv Opera House.
He died in Kyiv on 30 September 1962. He was buried at the Baikove cemetery.
