Ponaida Vasyl

Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

Born in Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1997, he graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Music Academy. Solo singing - professor O. Vrabel, chamber singing - associate professor Z. Maksymenko.

In 1996, he became a laureate of the XXXI International Dvořák Competition (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic). In 2009, he won the Silver Cup and the Special Prize of Korean Radio and TV at the 26th April Spring Friendship Art Festival (Pyongyang, North Korea). In 1996-1997 he was a trainee at the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S. Krushelnytska.

Since 1997 he has been a soloist of the Lviv Philharmonic.

Since 2009, he has been a soloist of the Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S. Krushelnytska.

He has collaborated with many conductors, including Myroslav Skoryk, Volodymyr Sirenko, Mykola Lysenko, Czesław Grabowski (Poland), Mirosław Jacek Blaszczyk (Poland), Wojciech Mrozek (Poland), Hans Michael Boerle (Germany), Mark Volokh (Israel), and Dieter Wagner (Switzerland).

He has given concerts in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy (Sicily) and North Korea.
