Pyotr Andrianovych Polyakov was a Soviet and Ukrainian composer and conductor. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1946).
Biography.
Born on November 15, 1907 in Odesa. He died on October 5, 1973 in Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Music and Drama Institute (1931, class of B. Liatoshynskyi and V. Berdiaiev). He worked as a conductor.
He was the author of musical comedies, cantatas, music for plays, and the film Nazar Stodolya (1953, in collaboration with P. Nishchynskyi).
