1972

Ukrainian singer and showman, leader of the Ukrainian band "Tartak", created in 1996, the project "Bouvier" (2014), the project "Ol. Iv. Ye" (2019), host of radio "NV". A serviceman of the 47th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Biography

Oleksandr was born on May 28, 1972 in Lutsk. He started singing very early, when he performed at festive matinees.

Studied at Lutsk School No. 15.

In 1987, after graduating from the 8th grade, he entered the Lviv military boarding school.

Higher education — economics, Oleksandr graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Lutsk Technical University with a major in "enterprise economics" and a military boarding school in Lviv. It was in this boarding school that Sashko received one of his nicknames - Komis (boarding-military from "commissar"). In the first years of the university, he constantly studied poorly, but in the third year he became an excellent student and began to participate in the KVK.
Art

Sashko started playing with the Lutsk band "Flies in Tea", with whom several of his songs were played and with whom he debuted on stage. He joined the punk project "Makarov & Peterson" as a showman, with whom he tried to perform on stage.

In 1996, Oleksandr found out about the Chervona Ruta festival. To participate in it, you had to have a band, three songs and submit an application. There was no band, but there was a name and four songs. He wrote one application from the band "Makarov & Peterson" in the category of rock music, and another, from "Tartak" - in the category of modern dance music. Later, other members were found for the newly formed band "Tartak". Polozhinsky became its leader and the author of most of the songs.

In the band "Tartak", he held the most important position: Sashko was (until February 2020) the artistic director, co-producer, vocalist, showman, b-boy, sex symbol, tartamen and elder, as well as the author of texts.

He worked part-time as a presenter on television and radio. During 2001-2002, he hosted a program for fans of the Russian variety show "Russian Hills" on the ICTV and M1 channels. In this program, the presenter satirized the representatives of Russian pop, who are frankly uninteresting to him, and sometimes even funny. But in this way, Russian show business helped the Ukrainian band to record the debut album of the band "Tartak" "Demographic explosion".

Sashko also hosted the program "Fresh Blood" on TV channel M1, which was engaged in the search and support of young talented bands. Sashko took an active part in this, helping newcomers.

From October 1, 2007, together with Roman Davydov, Andrii Kuzmenko and Igor Pelikh (until May 2009), he hosted the morning "Chipboard Show" on the radio "Europa Plus". In particular, together with Kuzma, he had the sections "Son v ruku", "Safe", "Morning star", "With his samovar", "Pure song", "Shyrya-show" and "Call a friend".

From 2018 to May 27, 2020, he hosted the author's program "Sounds about" on Radio NV.

In his desire to convey Ukrainian folklore to the youth, in 2006 Polozhynsky collaborated with the Gulyaihorod folk group, which resulted in the creation of an album of the same name, in which Ukrainian folk art acquired a modern sound. One of the projects is the recording together with Orest Krysa and Eduard Prystupa of the album "PoNeDilOK", which was accompanied by excerpts from well-known works of Ukrainian classics.

"- This is a big part of my life. Music is always with me, always in me. I hear it not only from speakers or headphones - it is also in the noise of the forest, and in the light of the stars, and in the hum of my car...".

In 2007, he took part in the creation of the album of the Belarusian opposition band Чирво́ным па Бе́лым — the result of the collaboration was the song "UA 4 BY", recorded with the Kyiv band Epicenter of the Union.

In 2009, he founded the solo project "SP", which includes the songs "Choose Me!" (2009), released on the eve of the presidential elections and "Tsitsydupa" (2010) (text). "Tsitsydupa" is dedicated to a certain category of girl pop groups.

In 2011, he became a producer and selected songs for the album of modern Ukrainian lyrical songs "Po-Vilno", published with the Kofein studio. The collection includes tracks by such artists as: Motor'Rolla, Krikhitka, Nichlava-Blues, Arsena Mirzoyan, Propala Gramota, FlyzZza, Yulia Lord, Alisa Kosmos, Valentina Povoroznyka, Tatyana Kanyuka, Valeriya Kaluzhska, Bazhany, Entree, Somewhere Near, Those That Falling Up, Lesya Gerasimchuk and Sub Ton Boya.

Also, in 2011, he was the producer of the 2012 calendar "UPA. People and Weapons", published by the Center for Studies of the Liberation Movement.

In 2012, he tried himself as the director of the "Tartaka" music video "Moral Sex".

In 2014, he founded the Bouvier project, with which he released two albums in 2015 and 2019. In order to support the national football team of Ukraine, together with the TV channels "Football 1/2" they recorded a clip for the song "Here's My Hand to You".

In 2019, Oleksandr also joined the creation of the "Tartakiv&Tartak" volunteer camp for the revival of the 19th century architectural monument of national importance, the Tartakiv Palace.

Sashko Polozhynskyi about the "birth" of new playsof:

"— They are different in different ways. One is born in you for years, shakes, comes out of you with almost no sweat and blood, and the other — rr! — and is ready. Almost in a matter of minutes. And the people never guess which one of them which one - one can only guess."

On February 5, 2020, after leaving the trial against Andrii Antonenko, where he acted as a witness (video), he announced his departure from the Tartak and Bouvier bands.

On September 15, 2020, Oleksandr Polozhinsky presented his new project called "Olexander Polozhinsky and the Three Roses" at the Caribbean Club in Kyiv. The project also included three musicians: Valeriya Palyarush (piano), Marta Kovalchuk (bass guitar, double bass), Maria Sorokina (drums). The project performs the concert program "Lyrics", which includes various, mostly lyrical, songs from the repertoire of "Tartaka", "Bouvier" and "Olivier" in a new arrangement. Oleksandr got the idea for the project after attending a concert by Valeria Paliarush with the desire to hear his own songs arranged for the piano. The name of the project "Three Roses" is borrowed from one of the songs "Ol. Iv. "E".

In 2021, he participated with the solo program "Cherry Jam" at the Banderstadt festival.
Solo songs

"Marines" (track) is a song written for the Rivne band Ot Vinta, which, however, failed to be recorded together, so two versions of each of the artists came out (track of the band Ot Vinta).
He combined 12 solo songs into the album "Despite Everything", published online in April 2023.

Oleksandr Evgenovich Polozhynskyi

In his free time, he prefers active recreation, snowboarding and playing football. He is not married, has an apartment in Kyiv, but lives in Lutsk.

Favorite musical groups are Bush, Papa Roach and Tartak. The book that made the biggest impression is "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. In principle, Sashko does not read the rest of the novels of the Brazilian writer, so as not to spoil the wonderful impression. Oleksandr Polozhinsky on self-education:

"A timely and carefully read book can influence the formation of a human personality, and if you chose this book for yourself, then this is self-education."

Three films that made the biggest impression - "Brave Heart" - for battle scenes, "Fire and Sword" - negative coverage of Ukrainians, "Warrior" - Korean film for quality and beauty.

A favorite saying is "One should live in such a way that it is good for me, and at the same time not to disturb anyone."
Awards

2013 — Laureate of the Vasyl Stus Award
2020 - refused the Order of Merit III degree, believing that the President should instead present such awards to musician Andriy Antonenko ("Riffmaster"), doctor Yulia Kuzmenko and nurse Yana Dugar (the accused in the case of the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet).

Public position and activity

Co-organizer of the promotion of 14 musical and interactive concerts in the cities of central Ukraine in support of the Ukrainian language "Don't be indifferent". Participated in the project "Feel like a European - speak Ukrainian!" on radio "Lutsk"

In addition, Polozhynskyi is known for his patriotic public position, which he repeatedly testified in the lyrics of his songs and during public speeches. In particular, the track "I don't want" from the album Musical Letter of Happiness became the unofficial anthem of the Orange Revolution, and the song "Ne makant kimy" written in co-authorship with Andriy Pidluzhny is one of the few modern compositions dedicated to the Ukrainian rebels.

He was a member of the Council of the People's Association "Maidan".

Together with other musicians, he performs in support of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are in the OSS (ATO). Yes, in 2015 together withmusicians "Riffmaster" performed for the 3rd separate special forces regiment and the 72nd separate mechanized brigade Together with another participant of the project "Ol. Ivan Marunych performed for the military in Volnovas, after which they founded the mentioned project. Together with Arsen Mirzoyan, they welcomed the soldiers of the 128th OGSHBr, and with the band "Ukiez" the soldiers of the National Guard.

Polozhinsky on the situation in the country:

"In this case, I cannot put on a mask of indifference, pretend that no one is dying, no one is suffering, that there are no people in hospitals with severed limbs, I cannot pretend that I do not see millions of people who have nowhere to live, because they had to flee their homes, and I cannot pretend that I am satisfied with what is being done in the country, with the actions of the officials, I cannot pretend that I am satisfied with the protest movement - I understand that it is going in the wrong direction in which, on in my opinion, he should move. There are many people involved who, by their ideals, are not close to all of this, they just satisfy personal interests."

Together with Ivan Marunych, they supported the initiative against construction, initiated an all-Ukrainian information campaign for the preservation of the Svydovets mountain massif (Free Svydovets).

In May 2018, he recorded a video message in support of Ukrainian director Oleh Sentsov, imprisoned in Russia.

Sashko holds the title of Honorary Plastun. With the band "Bouvier" he created a separate single "Legion", created specifically for the plastuns and the plastun camp "Legion". Plastuny Dnipro recorded a song on the words of Oleksandr Polozhynskyi about compliance with the quarantine conditions related to the coronavirus.

In 2020, rumors spread in the media that Polozhinsky was running for mayor of Lutsk. Oleksandr denied these rumors, writing on his Facebook page that he prefers to remain independent, and journalists should check information from primary sources.
Military Service

In February 2022, Polozhinsky signed a contract for military service in the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in May he served in the 47th battalion (later the 47th assault regiment and the 47th separate mechanized brigade). Recorded a song dedicated to volunteers.

After 8 months of service, Alexander's health problems worsened.
Interesting Facts

According to his own words, Polozhinsky could not master musical notation, which is why he did not become a real musician:

"I have been working side by side with professionals in my field for many years, and it is unlikely that I will learn to play the bass guitar better than our bass guitarist, or the drums - better than our drummer."
