Serhiy's career began in 1991 in the city of Kobeliaky, Poltava region, with the legendary band The Vyo, founded by singer Myroslav Kuvaldin and guitarist Serhiy Pidkaura. Subsequently, Pidkaura also played in the Poltava band Avantura. In 2000, the band "The VYO" ceased to exist, and Serhiy Pidkaura, as an author, began to collaborate with well-known Ukrainian artists.
Pidkaura is one of the best guitarists in Ukraine. For more than 15 years, he worked on the same stage with People's Artist of Ukraine Natalia Mogilevskaya. Serhiy Pidkaura is the author of such hits by Mogilevska as "Sent a Message," "Get Off the Ground," and "He Didn't Say a Word."
He also worked with other artists. As a guitarist, he performed with Oleksandr Ponomaryov at the Eurovision Song Contest. He wrote the songs "Heart" and "I'm for Your Love" for Ponomaryov.
He wrote songs for the Aviator band (including the song "Mania"). Participated as a composer in the project "Star Factory Ukraine".
He created the solo project "Bez Filtrut", all musicians of which are from Poltava. The project "Without a Filter" is a mixture of styles. It includes driving pop-rock and Brit-pop with a mandatory Ukrainian accent, lyrical slow songs, and songs in a new author's arrangement that have already become hits. This is exquisite Ukrainian poetry, and at the same time uncensored slang. In terms of music performance, Sergey is a perfectionist, from the melody and lyrics to the subtle nuances of sound. Therefore, he invited only top-class musicians to join his band. An advocate of high-quality live sound, he is sure that electronics can complement, but never replace, the musician's hands.
"I offer songs with a lot of words. For me, it's important to have a meaningful load so that people can think and reflect. Perhaps you can call the style of my music "pop-rock", in which there is a concept of a song. There is a verse, a chorus, something to sing, something to remember. "
On August 21, 2008, The VYO decided to resume their activities.
With the song "Positive Vibration" they joined the action "This is how memory works", dedicated to the memory of Danylo Didyk and all those who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence.
