Pavlyuchenko Stanislav Evstigniyovych

1937-2010

Stanislav Yevstigniyovych Pavlyuchenko (* 18 August 1937, Roslavl, Smolensk Oblast, Russia - †27 December 2010) was a Ukrainian conductor and teacher. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1978).

Biography.
In 1966, he graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of Eleonora Skrypchynska). Since then, he has been the head of the orchestral group and a teacher of the studio of the Hryhoriy Veryovka Ukrainian Folk Choir. Oles Kharchenko was among his students.

In 1971-1993, he was the artistic director and chief conductor of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Western Border Military District.

Since 1974, he has been a lecturer (since 1990 - professor) at the Kyiv Institute of Culture (now the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts), the director of its folk choir, and the head of the Department of Folk Song Performance. Among his students are sisters Olha Karpovych and Oksana Skrypchuk, Honoured Artists of Ukraine.
