Pavlyuchenko Sergey Alekseevich

1902-2000

Serhiy Pavliuchenko (* October 5 (18), 1902, Kursk) is a Ukrainian musicologist, composer, and teacher. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1954).
In 1932 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory. Since 1932 he has been a teacher there. In 1946, he became a member of the CPSU (b).

In 1948-1953 he was the director of the Lviv Conservatory. In 1953-1974 he worked at the Kyiv Conservatory, and since 1963 he has been a professor there.
