He was born in Kyiv to a family of musicians. He received his musical education at the Reinhold Glier Kyiv Music School and the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of Professor Vadym Kozin). In addition, he improved his professional skills with such violinists as György Pauk, Hutto Beerle, Mark Danel, Philipp Setzer, Andriy Belov, Krzysztof Smetana, and Johannes Meisl.
As a soloist, Andriy performs with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the National Honoured Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Kyiv Soloists and Kyiv Camerata chamber ensembles, the Lviv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Lviv Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Poltava Symphony Orchestra. His concerts as a soloist and ensemble player took place in Asia and Europe, including the Radiokulturhaus in Vienna, UNESCO in Paris, and the Menuhin Forum in Bern. Andriy's concert geography includes the Septembre Musicale festival in Switzerland, Monteleon Chamber music festival in Spain, Zeist Music Days in the Netherlands, Randspiele in Germany, as well as major music forums in Ukraine: KyivMusicFest, Contrasts, and Odesa Classics. Among his chamber music partners are violinists Andriy Belov and Valeriy Sokolov, violist Gerard Cosset, and clarinetist Julian Milkis.
In recent years, Andriy's permanent ensemble partner has been the pianist Valeria Shulga. Their duo, called Sonoro, is a laureate and winner of special prizes at numerous international competitions, including the International chamber music competition "Tallinn 2021" (Estonia, 2021), Plovdiv International chamber music competition (Bulgaria, 2017), Salieri-Zinetti International chamber music competition (Italy, 2016), where Andriy was awarded a special prize as the best violinist of the competition, Johannes Brahms International competition (Austria, 2015), Stasys Vainiunas International chamber music competition (Lithuania, 2014).
Since 2016, he has been constantly collaborating with the New Era Orchestra as a concertmaster and is a member of the Nota Bene Chamber Group and Sed Contra Ensemble. Since 2015, he has been teaching at the Reinhold Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music.
In 2017, Andriy Pavlov was awarded the Lev Revutsky Prize of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
Since 2018, he has received grant support from the VERE MUSIC FUND.
