Myroslav Paliychuk (1951, Vydyniv village) is a Ukrainian composer and professional musician in the class of cymbals and piano, a solo cymbalist, has been playing the cymbals since 1973, a concert performer, and a member of the National All-Ukrainian Music Union.
Biography
Born in 1951 in Prykarpattia, in the village of Vydyniv. From a family of musicians. After graduating from the tenth grade in 1968, he entered the Ivano-Frankivsk Music College, served in the tank troops, and graduated from the Lviv Conservatory in 1986. He has two sons.
Creativity.
Myroslav's grandfather played the flute, taught his grandson to dance the Arkana and sing folk songs. In primary school, he learnt to play the accordion, and at the music school he also learned the piano. His father, a cymbalist and wedding musician, inherited Myroslav's unique art and his ancient sixty-kilogram cymbals made by the Hungarian company Schunda Vencel József.
At one time, he played in the Hutsulia band, performed at concerts and weddings. In addition to Ukrainian folk music and songs, his repertoire includes classical pieces, Hutsul kolomyikas, mountain prayers, Moldovan and Hungarian songs and dances. He has played concerts with Petro Terpeliuk, Dmytro Bondarenko, and Mykhailo Tymofiyev.
He gives concerts in Ukraine and abroad, presenting his art to young people and children. "Playing for children is my happiness," says Myroslav. Since 1990, he has been performing for people at the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, near Shevchenko's house.
