Ovcharenko Ilya

2001

Ilya Ovcharenko was born on 24 March 2001. He is studying at the Mykola Lysenko Secondary Specialised Music School in the class of Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Natalia Hrydneva. Ilya has participated in various international piano competitions and received awards:

● Fourth prize winner of the 11th International Piano Competition in memory of Arthur Rubinstein, 2017, Bydgoszcz, Poland. Special prize for the compulsory work by Szymanowski.

Winner of the Eppan Junior Academy 2017, Eppan, Italy. Absolute winner of the International Competition "Resonances", Paris, France [Group under 25], 2017.

Laureate and winner of the Special Prize of the International Piano Competition in memory of Vladimir Horowitz [Middle Group] (Kyiv, Ukraine, 2016)

Laureate of the Amadeus International Piano Competition (Brno, Czech Republic, 2012) Diploma winner of the Nutcracker International Competition (Moscow, Russia, 2013)

2nd prize of the International Piano Competition in memory of Tatiana Nikolaieva (Bryansk, Russia, 2011)

● Laureate of the International Rotary Competition, Moscow, Russia, 2013 ● 1st prize of the National Piano Competition "Spring in the House of Uvarov" (Kyiv-Vorzel, Ukraine, 2016)

1st prize of the National Revutsky Piano Competition (Chernihiv, Ukraine, 2013) ● 1st prize of the National Competition "Classical Meridian" (Kyiv, Ukraine, 2009)

1st prize of the National Competition Chernihiv Calls for Talents (Chernihiv, Ukraine, 2010)

1st prize of the Revutsky International Composition Competition (Ukraine, 2011) At the age of 15, he gave a solo concert at the Ukrainian Philharmonic.

Ilya Ovcharenko has performed at various music festivals. Among them are the International Chamber Ensemble Festivals in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine with the Trio.

He received a certificate of graduation from the Kyiv International Summer Music Academy - 2016, where he studied in the class of Oleksiy Hryniuk (Great Britain).

He has taken masterclasses with renowned pianists such as: Andrea Bonnata (Italy), Pavlo Nersesian (Russia-USA), and Oleksiy Hryniuk (UK). He has played with the best Ukrainian orchestras and has performed with various conductors in Ukraine, Italy, the USA, and Poland. Among them: Ian Hobson (USA), Mykola Dyadyura (Ukraine), Mykola Sukach (Ukraine), Volodymyr Sirenko (Ukraine), Volodymyr Sheiko (Ukraine), Nicolo Giuliani (Italy), Dmytro Sitkovetskyi (USA).

He has been featured on Ukrainian radio and TV.
