Osadchiy Oleksandr Pylypovych

Oleksandr Pylypovych Osadchyi (*September 14, 1947, Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR) is a Soviet and Ukrainian composer. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1987).
He graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute (1970) and the Kyiv Conservatory (1980).

He is the author of many works for pop and symphony orchestras, music for cartoons and television films.

His songs were performed by famous Ukrainian pop singers: Vasyl Zinkevych, Yurii Bohatykov, Liudmyla Artemenko, Viktor Shportko, Lidiia Mykhailenko, Sofia Rotaru, Ivan Matsialko, and others. He worked with the poets Yurii Rybchynskyi, Dmytro Lutsenko, Mykola Syngaievskyi, V. Kryshchenko, L. Tatarenko, M. Tkach, O. Vratariov, Borys Chip, O. Orach, and O. Kononenko.

He was a member of the National Union of Composers.

He emigrated to Germany. He lives in Stuttgart (since 1994).
