Orliuk Svitlana

1945-2023

Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Graduated from the Lviv State Conservatory (1968, class of Prof. O. Eidelman).
She worked in the opera houses of Lviv, Novosibirsk (Russia), and Mersin (Turkey).
Since 1977 she has been a concertmaster of the National Opera of Ukraine.
Her repertoire includes about 90 opera titles.
Diploma winner of international competitions. She was awarded medals for concertmaster work, diplomas of decades and festivals.
She has collaborated with well-known conductors, including M. Kolesa, Y. Lutsiv, S. Arbit, I. Latsanych, B. Hruzyn, I. Zak, L. Venediktov, O. Ryabov, S. Turchak, V. Kozhukhar, I. Hamkalo, and directors, including D. Smolych, P. Stein, V. Bagratuni, V. Begma, I. Molostova, and others.
In parallel with the opera, Svitlana Orliuk is active in concert and chamber music. The pianist has participated in competitions, prepared soloists and accompanied them in competitions named after M. Lysenko, G. Alchevsky, S. Krushelnytska, M. Glinka, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Moniuszko.
Her concert schedule includes almost all the countries of the former Soviet Union, as well as Denmark, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Canada, Germany, Finland, and Turkey.
Svitlana Orliuk collaborated with prominent singers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and Moldova, including A. Solovianenko, A. Mokrenko, M. Kondratiuk, L. Rudenko, H. Tuftina, L. Myasnikova, Z. Babiy, O. Vrabel, P. Karmaliuk, V. Chaika, R. Kotova, B. Chervonyuk, S. Fitsych, and operetta artists L. Satosova and M. Vodianyi.
She laid the foundations for the future success of famous singers Hrytsiuk, Mykytenko, Zabilysta, Hurtets, Magera, Semenenko, Koval and other talented young people.
For almost 20 years, she was the constant accompanist of the Hero of Ukraine D. Hnatiuk.
