Opanasyuk Oleksandr

1959

OPANASIUK Oleksandr Petrovych (08.01.1959, Kivertsi, now Lutsk district, Volyn region) - composer, musicologist. Doctor of Arts (2015), Associate Professor (2005). Member of the NSCU (1996). He studied at the composition faculties of the Kyiv and Lviv Conservatories (1977-89; classes of A. Shtoharenko, V. Flys, L. Mazepa). Since then he taught at Nizhyn Pedagogical Institute (Chernihiv region), 1990-2006 - Drohobych Pedagogical University (Lviv region). Since 2013 - professor of the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management, since 2015 - University of Culture and Arts, since 2019 - B. Grinchenko University (all in Kyiv). Research interests: philosophy, cultural studies, aesthetics, psychology of art; musical education of children. The composer's works include mainly chamber instrumental, chamber vocal, and music for children. O.'s works are characterized by philosophical lyricism, drama, dialogic type of compositions, in large forms he adheres to classical principles of forming. In his early works there are features of expressionism, symbolism, in the compositions of 1980-2010s - manifestations of neo-romanticism, the desire to combine modern means of expression with the poetics of Ukrainian melos. Initiator and co-author (together with H. Poberezhna) of the scientific project "Stavropigian Philosophical Studies", dedicated to the study of a number of issues in philosophy of art, cultural studies, psychology and pedagogy (2007-10, 4 issues of scientific works of this project were published).

Garcia Lorca), No. 2 (with lyrics by F. Tyutchev), No. 3 (with lyrics by O. Mandelstam; both - 1979-89), No. 4 (1982-91, with lyrics by R. Rilke, P. Verlaine, G. Kalau), No. 5 (1982, with lyrics by W. Shakespeare); 3 Ukrainian folk lullabies. songs (1978-84); "Autumn Twilight" (1993-98, words by L. Pervomaisky); "Your Riches" (7 pieces for children's choir accompanied by piano and percussion instruments, 1998, words by N. Velyka, V. Umnov, M. Beley, A. Malyshko, Y. Fishtyk); "The World in Me" (for children's choir accompanied by piano). for children's choir accompanied by piano, 2001, words by Oleksandr Oles); "People like birds" (2003, words by V. Umnov); stage cantata "Strange Flute" (2003-09, folk songs, both for children's choir, piano and percussion instruments).
