Oliynyk Viktor Ivanovych

1974

Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2012).
Graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv (2002, class of People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor R. Kofman).
In 2002-2010, he worked as a conductor of the Prokofiev Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Donetsk Regional Philharmonic.
Since 2010, V. Oliynyk has been the conductor of the A. Solovyanenko Donetsk National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 2017, he has been an assistant to the Chief Conductor, and since September 2018, he has been conducting the Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine.
In 2010, he premiered the ballet "Forest Song" to music by M. Skorulsky, conducted by Viktor Oliynyk.
Within the framework of the project "East-West Together", the ballet "Forest Song" was toured in the regions of western Ukraine, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka's birth.
Oliynyk's extensive performance repertoire includes works of various eras, genres and styles: operas, ballets, oratorios, cantatas, symphonies, instrumental concertos, etc.
Among the conductor's successes are the prize of the Open Festival of Performances and Concert Programmes dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Nikolai Gogol and a diploma from the Golden Fortune International Academic Rating.
Viktor Oliynyk has participated in international festivals: "Piano Forum, Music Without Borders, Golden Crown, Crystal Strings, World Ballet Stars and the S. Lifar International Ballet Competition.
He had concert tours to China, Italy, Hungary, Switzerland, and France.
