Volodymyr Tikhonovych Oberenko (born 17 October 1939) is a Ukrainian singer, composer, and actor. People's Artist of Ukraine (1995).
Biography
1960 - graduated from the Lviv Trade and Economic Institute.
1968 - graduated from the Odesa Theatre School (Department of Musical Comedy) with a degree in operetta.
1960-1976 - soloist-vocalist of the Mykolaiv Music and Drama Theatre, Odesa Musical Comedy Theatre named after M. Vodyanyi, Volgograd Musical Comedy Theatre, Kyiv Operetta Theatre.
1972 - played the role of Peter in the film Nina directed by Vitaly Kondratov.
1976-1980 - Managing Director of the Honoured Academic Chapel "Dumka".
1981 - appointed director of the State Brass Band of the Ukrainian SSR.
1988 - graduated from the Petro Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatory (Faculty of Solo Singing) with a degree in concert singing.
Since 1988, he has worked in the Song and Dance Ensemble and the Military Orchestra of the Armed Forces.
Since 2006, he has been a soloist and concert programme host of the Model Demonstration Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a permanent host of all ceremonial events and parades in which the Armed Forces of Ukraine participate, for which he is called the "voice" of the of the Armed Forces.
He has published several books of poetry and music.
