Hanna Vitaliivna Nuzha (*15 March 1969) is a Ukrainian cellist and public figure. Chairman of the Board of the All-Ukrainian public organisation "Union of Musicians of Ukraine", acting associate professor of the Department of Stringed Instruments at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy, lecturer at the Glier KIM, director of the Kyiv Chamber Ensemble (National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine), Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Biography.
She was born on 15 March 1969 in Kyiv. She received her education at the Lysenko Kyiv State Music School and the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, and completed an assistantship in the class of Professor V. Chervonov. She was an intern at the European Mozart Academy (Krakow, Poland), where at that time D. Pauk, K. Danchoska, B. Pergamenshchikov, R. Filippini, Dario da Rosa, O. Longwich, O. Spatz and others taught.
Concert activity
Since 1993, Anna Nuzha has been a soloist at the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine. The artist frequently performs with leading Ukrainian orchestras and makes radio recordings. She is the artistic director of the Kyiv Chamber Ensemble, with which she has toured successfully in Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Japan, Belgium and Russia. Initiator and participant of performances of several musical ensembles - "ArtLine" trio, "Asteria bis" duo, author and organiser of creative projects "Secrets of Human Passions", "Big Concert of Small Masterpieces", "Rare Pages of Ukrainian Music", "The World's Most Famous Composers", "Musical Dialogues Ukraine-Switzerland".
Teaching activity
Since 1997, he has been teaching at the Department of Stringed Instruments of the Tchaikovsky Kyiv National Music Academy. Since 2008, she has been a permanent member of the ArtLine Trio, in which she has recorded 2 CDs with works by F. Schubert, P. Tchaikovsky, G. Vietan, A. Piazzolla, and M. Skoryk. Since 2012, she has been the Chairman of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Public Organisation Union of Musicians of Ukraine (UMU). Under the leadership of Anna Nuzha, the Union of Musicians of Ukraine became a member of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM), which unites independent trade unions in more than 60 countries. Together with other organisations, the UMU tried to prevent the adoption of the unfavourable for artists draft law 2669, but failed. In 2017, the UMU won a grant from the Ministry of Culture for two art projects - the IX All-Ukrainian Competition-Festival of Classical Guitar Music "Autumn Colours" and the Competition of Performers "World Classics in Ukrainian", but failed both projects - the "Autumn Colours" Competition was not held in 2017, and the "World Classics in Ukrainian" was held, but without the organisational participation of the Union of Musicians of Ukraine.
