Nemechek Karl

1950-2021

Karl Friedrich Nemeczek (8 October 1950, Chernivtsi, Ukrainian SSR, USSR - 27 January 2021, Ludwigsburg, Germany) was a Ukrainian and German musician, trumpeter, and teacher.

Biography.
He received his musical education in Ukraine:

In 1968-1972, he studied at the Chernivtsi Music College, trumpet class.
In 1972-1978, he studied trumpet with the famous trumpet teacher Mykola Berdyiev at the Tchaikovsky Kyiv State Conservatory.
While still a student, he worked in the Honoured Symphony Orchestra of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, and then as a soloist in the Symphony Orchestra of the Donetsk Opera House.

In early 1980, he returned to Kyiv and worked in the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. He played the first trumpet part. At the same time, he was engaged in teaching activities - he taught trumpet at the R. M. Glière Kyiv Music School and the Kyiv State Institute of Culture.

He moved to Germany in 1989. He worked as a teacher at art schools in Bucknang and Weiblingen. He gave recitals in Germany and other countries. He has collaborated with many orchestras as a musician and conductor. He made numerous artistic trips to Ukraine.

He was a master of the baroque trumpet, piccolo, corno da caccia and all kinds of trumpets. K. Nemechek's performance repertoire is diverse in nature, ranging from Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary modern works. He had a rather powerful bright and expressive trumpet sound without technical limitations.
