Nekrych Mykhailo Hryhorovych

1940-2019

Mykhailo Hryhorovych Nekrych (December 1, 1940, Zhytomyr - July 10, 2019) was a Soviet and Ukrainian composer and teacher, musician and arranger. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1999).

Biography
From 1960 to 1968, he was the director of the pop groups of the Rivne and Kirovohrad Philharmonic.
1968-1971 - director of the Zhytomyr Big Band and the Yunist Ensemble at the Zhytomyr City House of Culture, winner of many republican and all-Union competitions.
1971-1975 - director of the famous variety orchestra "Green Light" (Cherkasy).
Since 1975 - artistic director of the Dnipro Philharmonic. In 1975, he founded and is the permanent director of the exemplary children's ensemble "Masterok" (Dnipro), winner of international competitions. Mykhailo Nekrych and this ensemble recorded the album CD "Holiday Carols" (Hanover, 1999). Hundreds of concerts a year, recordings on radio and television. The ensemble has toured Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and China. Not to mention concerts throughout Ukraine and most of Russia. For 34 years, such luminaries of art as A. Kroll, Y. Krylatov, Y. Tabachnyk, V. Shainsky, I. Sobko, and E. Khanok have been collaborating with the ensemble. Many beautiful compositions performed by the ensemble came from the pen of Mykhailo Hryhorovych, a talented composer and arranger. They have recorded 5 CDs of various music (pop, jazz, folk, orthodox).
