Nebesny Ivan Vasilyevich

1971

Ukrainian composer, music producer, member of the NSKU. Laureate of the composer competition "Gradus ad Parnassum" within the framework of the International Youth Music Forum, Kyiv (1996, 1997). Laureate of the award named after L. Revutskyi (2002). Laureate of the award named after M. Verikivskyi (2011). Winner of the Kyiv Pectoral Theater Award (2011). Laureate of the award named after B. Lyatoshynskyi (2020). Laureate of the theater award "GRA" (2021).

Graduated from the Lviv State Music Academy named after M.V. Lysenko in the composition class of M. Skoryk (1995), and post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Composition (class of M. Skoryk and H. Lyashenko (1998)). 1993 – internship at the experimental electronic music studio Experimentalstudio des SWR, Freiburg, Germany. 1997 –– received a scholarship from KulturKontakt Austria, thanks to which he participated in the Fifth International Academy of New Music, Schwatz, Austria, where he studied composition with B. Schaeffer and electronic music with M. Kholonevsky.

For a long time he managed the modern music ensemble "Klaster" (Lviv), which during its existence represented Ukrainian modern music in Poland, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Austria, and Slovenia. At the same time, in Ukraine, "Cluster" is the first performer of the works of many foreign composers, in particular from England, France, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Canada. Since 2002, the composer has lived in Kyiv, from 2006 to 2012 he was the executive director of the International Music Festivals of Contemporary Classical Music Kyiv Music Fest and Youth Music Forum, Kyiv. From 2006 to the present day, he is the director of the Music Information Center of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.

I. Nebesny's works were performed at various musical events in Austria, Algeria, England, Belgium, Belarus, Georgia, Israel, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Kenya, China, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic.
