Naida Yaroslav Andreyovych

1945

Ukrainian composer. Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Honored Pop Art Artist of Ukraine, soloist and orchestra leader of the Ukrainian song and dance ensemble "Kolos", member of the National League of Composers of Ukraine.

Biography

He was born on January 2, 1945 in the village of Verba, Volodymyr-Volyn district, Volyn region. In 1962, he graduated from the Ovadniv Secondary School, and in 1969 from the Lutsk State Music School, specializing in academic choir conductor, choir artist and music teacher. In parallel, he studied by correspondence at the Moscow University of Arts at the Faculty of Drawing and Painting, which he graduated in 1973.

In 1969, he was appointed to the position of artistic director and soloist-vocalist in the honored song and dance ensemble of Ukraine "Kolos". While working in the ensemble, he also worked as a teacher at a local music school. In 1978, he continued his studies at the Kyiv Institute of Culture, and in 1983 he completed a full course at the Rivne Institute of Culture. In 1981, he was appointed the leader of the orchestra of folk instruments of the aforementioned ensemble, and the director of the Torchyn Children's Music School, where he still works.

Yaroslav Naida is a soloist-vocalist who performs in pop music, and also has works of a folk and classical nature in his repertoire. Recently, he has been performing as a soloist-vocalist with the symphonic and wind orchestras of the Volyn School of Culture and Arts named after I. Stravinsky, and in separate concerts as part of the concert group of the Volyn Philharmonic. He is a multiple laureate of international and all-Ukrainian competitions and festivals. In 1996, at the 1st congress of the National League of Ukrainian Composers, the honored cultural worker Yaroslav Naida was accepted as a member of the League, and also became a member of its Board by the decision of the congress held in Ternopil. Since 2014, he has been a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. In 2018, he received the honorary title of Honored Pop Art Artist of Ukraine,

Today, Yaroslav Naida is doing a lot of public work. He is the deputy head of the NLUK in the Volyn region, manages the branch of "Prosvita" in Torchyna, is a member of the Council of the regional society "Prosvita", this allows him to hold creative meetings, concerts and other events designed to further promote the development of national musical culture.
