Myrovych Roman Hnatovych

1909-1944

Ukrainian poet and composer, head of the student branch of the OUN in 1937-1938.

Biography.

Until 1922 he studied at a Ukrainian private gymnasium in Dolyna. From 1922 to 1927, he studied at the Ukrainian private gymnasium in Stanislav, and from 1927 - in Prague, at the Conservatory and Polytechnic. His education is incomplete higher education: 3 years of conservatory and 4 years of polytechnic.

Member of the Plast, OUN (combat reference), and the Ukrainian student society Zahrava in Prague.

Member of the OUN. Prisoner of the Polish concentration camp Bereza Kartuzka (1.04.1935-17.01.1936). In 1937-1938, he was the head of the OUN student branch.

In November 1938, he became the deputy head of the intelligence department of the Military Staff of the Carpathian Sich under Yevhen Vretsiona.

In 1944, he became a courier for the OUN and the UGVR. He died in October 1944 during an illegal crossing to Italy in Yugoslavia, shot by Tito's partisans.

Mirović's work has not yet been studied. His works from the time of his imprisonment in the Bereza Kartuzka concentration camp are known:
