Biography
Oleg Mykytyuk was born on April 2, 1981 in the city of Sokyryani. He began his acquaintance with music at the age of five. The first performance took place at the beginning of 1987 - he accompanied the children's choir at that time.
Since 1991, he continued his studies at the Sokyrian Children's Music School in the class of the brilliant young accordionist Oleg Moskovchuk. The teacher ultimately influenced the creative choice of his student. After Moskovchuk's departure abroad, he studied for a year with a teacher, director of music. school, composer and conductor Mykhailo Maftuliak, who prepared his student for admission to a music school. At that time, the young performer often participated in various competitions and festivals of regional and local importance, where he almost always received prizes. One of the main ones was the victory at the children's international competition in Drokia, Moldova (1996).
In 1996, he graduated from Sokyryan secondary school No. 2 and graduated from the children's music school with honors in the accordion class.
From 1996 to 1999 he studied in the class of Semyon Mykhailovych Kozlov (Chernivtsi Music School named after S. Vorobkevich). Under the great authoritative influence of his teacher, who has experience working with more than a dozen of his graduates, many of whom continue to carry their creativity around the world, a new professional approach to accordion music and to art in general was developed. During this time, basic techniques, skills, intonation expressiveness, as well as ideological thinking were refined. Semyon Mykhailovych Kozlov instilled in Oleg one of his main qualities — his ability to work. In the spring of 1999, he became a laureate of the All-Ukrainian competition of young performers "New Names" (Kyiv).
In the summer of 1999, when there was one more year left before graduation, Oleg went to Kyiv to try his hand at the entrance exams to the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky and passed them with flying colors, after which he became a student at the academy. From that moment, a new professional stage of creativity began. They are connected, first of all, with studying in the class of a wonderful teacher, a famous performer not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe, whose concerts are held with great success, People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Yevgenia Cherkazova. A lot of time was devoted to preparation for concert activities, executive and interpretive independence, aesthetics of feelings and emotions, maturity of creative thinking and artistic activity were cultivated.
He graduated from the conservatory with honors as a specialist and master of musical arts, having obtained the qualifications of a performer-teacher in the accordion class and a conductor of a folk orchestra. He also received a referral from the department to study as an assistantship-internship at the postgraduate school of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. As an assistant from 2004 to 2007, I lead the preparation of new concert programs, and also worked with students in Yevgenia Cherkazova's class. Graduated from assistantship with honors and graduation qualification, concert performer, teacher of a higher educational institution of the IV level of accreditation. During all the years of studying at the conservatory, he became a seven-time laureate of international competitions and once a graduate.
The performer's repertoire includes music of various eras and genres: from baroque music to modern classics, folk music and pop miniatures.
Oleg Mykytyuk constantly participates in various concerts, both in Ukraine and abroad. His solo performances have already become traditional in the hall of the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic, where three solo concerts were held: in 2003, in 2007 — accompanied by a symphony orchestra, and in 2013. Also in 2005 — a concert in the organ music hall (Chernivtsi). Repeated performances of the performer took place in the Colonnade Hall named after M. Lysenko of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, halls of the Actor's House and the House of Scientists (Kyiv). In 2018, O.M. Mykytyuk performed solo numbers at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine" at the jubilee concert of People's Artist of Ukraine Anatoly Matviychuk. In November 2021, he played at the "Waltz Evening" held at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theater accompanied by the theater's orchestra under the direction of Honored Artist of Ukraine Serhiy Didko. The artist also performed with great success in the city of Sokyryana on September 4, 2009, at the celebration of the 75th birthday of the composer, director of the music school, honored cultural worker of Ukraine Mykhailo Maftuliak. The musician is happy to be invited to various folk and pop music festivals.
Together with the world-famous composer Yevhen Doga, he performed compositions written for accordion with an orchestra at the maestro's creative concerts held in February 2021 in Kyiv.
In the summer of 2009, Oleg Mykytyuk completed an internship at the Institute of Music in Aosta (Italy) with accordion professor Giorgio Delarola and received a "Master Class" diploma. In November 2009, he was invited to the VII Moscow Internationalthe "Harmonika — soul of Russia" festival, dedicated to the memory of Alfred Mirek, where he performed his own program. His concerts took place several times in the cities of Hamburg, Lübeck (Germany), Alessandria, Piacenza, Brescia, Verona, Bologna (Italy). In 2006, he took an active part in supporting the Ukrainian national football team at the World Cup in Germany, where he played a concert on the same stage with the Ukrainian singer Ruslana and the band "Haydamaki".
A separate page in Oleg Mykytyuk's work is his participation in various ensembles of classical and folk music. A significant event was the collaboration with the famous rock musician Oleg Skrypka, where she plays the accordion part in his jazz project. The first single of this project "My heart is vulnerable" and the album "Zhorzhina" were released.
In 2005, Oleg Mykytyuk, together with violinist, People's Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn and double bassist Lyubomyr Feshchak, created the ensemble "Trio Family", which performs both classical and folk music. In 2011, a trio album was released, with the program of which the collective performed at various official events, in particular, in Geneva at the Ukrainian Culture Day organized by the Swiss Banks Association (2011) and at the official reception of the UEFA delegation at the final part of the European Football Championship. which took place in Ukraine in 2012. In 2016, the project "Puro Sonido Del Tango" was created on the basis of the trio, where the collective performs music in the style of Argentine tango in an expanded composition.
In 2009, he performed as an accompanist and arranger of songs at the concert of People's Artist of Ukraine Nina Matvienko, held at the National Opera.
In 2011, he took part in the musical project "Alibi-Folk" together with the Zavalsky sisters, in which Ukrainian folk songs were recorded and performed in a modern arrangement.
Since 2007, he has been performing the accordion part in the performances of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet named after T. G. Shevchenko.
As an arranger of a recording studio, Oleg Mykytyuk works on creating music tracks for various artists, and is also the author of all arrangements of his performances. Well-known soundtracks for the films "The Milkmaid from Khatsapetivka", "Rural Romance", in the creation of which Oleg Mykytyuk participated. And in 2017, he himself starred in an episodic role as an accordionist musician in the film "Ex", directed by Serhiy Lysenko. In the fall of 2020, he starred in the comedy series "Papik" directed by Andriy Yakovlev, where he performed M.A. Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee".
Since 2018, he has been working as a teacher, and since 2019 - a senior teacher of the accordion and accordion department of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, and since 2009 he has been leading the orchestra of folk instruments of the "Medic" club at the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomoletsa.
In 2020, Oleg Mykytyuk became a graduate student of the Department of Fine Arts, Musicology and Cultural Studies of A.S. Sumy State Pedagogical University. Makarenko, where he works on scientific research. In the summer of 2021, an article by O.M. Mykytyuk was published. "THE ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ACCORDION-BAYAN EDUCATION IN BUKOVINA IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 20TH - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY" in the interuniversity collection of scientific works of young scientists of Ivan Franko Drohobytsk State Pedagogical University "Actual issues of humanitarian sciences" (2021. - Issue 38. Volume 2. - pp. 72-78). The musician also takes an active part in international scientific conferences.
Creative achievements
Oleg Mykytyuk is a laureate of the international competition of young performers in Drokia of the Republic of Moldova (1996), the all-Ukrainian competition "New Names" in Kyiv (1999), the international competition "Donbas-2001" in Luhansk (2001), laureate of the first two the prizes of the international competition in the Italian city of Montese in the categories "Classic" and "Pop performance" (2005), the winner of the first prize of the international competition in the city of Erbezzo (Italy) in the category of pop performance (2007) and the second prizes of the international competitions "Carlo Chivardi" and "Valtidone" (Italy) in the category of pop performance (2007), winner of the international competition "Ackoholide" in Kyiv (2007) and winner of the 2nd prize of the same competition in Kyiv (2009).
