Muzhchyl Viktor Stepanovich

1947

Ukrainian composer and teacher. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Professor.

Biography.

Born in the family of an artist and a cellist.

In 1966 he graduated from the Belgorod Music College, class of Y. Averbukh.

In 1966-1967 he was a teacher at the children's music school in Veydelivka, Belgorod region.

In 1969-1974 - a teacher at the S. Degtyarev Belgorod Music College.

Graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts, composition class of V. Bibik (1979).

In 1979-1982 - executive secretary, in 2001-2002 - head of the Dnipropetrovs'k regional organization of the Union of Composers of Ukraine.

1982-1985 - conductor of the Dnipro Regional Union of Music Ensembles and Discos.

Since 1985 - a teacher at a music school in Pavlohrad, Dnipro region.

Since 2002, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Composition and Instrumentation at the Kharkiv I. P. Kotliarevsky Institute of Arts (since 2007 - Associate Professor, since 2010 - Professor).

Member of the Board of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.

Laureate of the All-Union Competition for Young Composers (1978).
Laureate of the D. Yavornytskyi Regional Prize (1994).
Laureate of the Mykola Lysenko Prize (1992).
Honored Artist of Ukraine (1999).
