Momot Mykola Semenovych

1932-2017

Momot Mykola Semenovych (1932, Hrodivka village, Krasnoarmiiskyi district, Donetsk region - 2017) - Ukrainian opera and concert singer, soloist of the A. Solovianenko Donetsk National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, professor of the Department of Academic Singing at the S. Prokofiev Donetsk State Music Academy, People's Artist of Ukraine (1976).
Biography.
Graduated from the Avdiivka Railway School (1947-1950).

He worked as a locksmith and trackman at the depot of Yasynuvata station of the Donetsk railway, as a driver in his native village and as a miner at the mine No. 5-6 named after H. Dimitrov (now Myrnohrad, Donetsk region).

He continued his studies at the Simferopol Railway Technical School, graduating in 1959.

In 1959, he entered the Leningrad Conservatory.

People's Artist of Ukraine Vadym Pysariev, paying tribute to the difficult path to creativity, wrote about M. Momot: "The biography of Mykola Momot, without exaggeration, can serve as a textbook of life for future masters of the stage, and his work - a life guide for the younger generation."

Awards
He was awarded diplomas of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Supreme Council of Belarus.
