Mityushkin Viktor Anatolyevich

Viktor Anatoliyovych Mityushkin is a Ukrainian singer, People's Artist of Ukraine.

He graduated from the Odesa Conservatoire in 1990 in the class of Yevhen Ivanov, then completed his postgraduate studies. During his studies, he won the third prize of the Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, 1989) and the third prize of the All-Union Mikhail Glinka Competition (1989) in the opera performance category, and the third prize of the International Vocal Competition in Verviers (Belgium, 1990).

After graduation, he worked at the Odesa Opera House and the Bolshoi Theatre in Russia (2003-2005). His repertoire includes the roles of Yeletsky and Mazepa (operas The Queen of Spades and Mazepa by Pyotr Tchaikovsky), Ruprecht (opera The Fiery Angel by Sergei Prokofiev), Ford, Count di Luna, Renato, Rigoletto, Macbeth, Nabucco (operas Falstaff, Il Trovatore, La bohème masquerade, Rigoletto, Macbeth and Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi). He has performed at the Festschpil Haus in Salburg, the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, the Grand Theatre in Geneva, and participated in concerts in Munich, Bonn, Berlin, Zurich, and Geneva. He has toured Italy, Spain, and Russia.

Associate Professor of the Department of Solo Singing at the Antonina Nezhdanova National Music Academy in Odesa.
