Yuriy Mynenko (*3 March 1979, Radomyshl) is a young Ukrainian singer with a rare contralto voice, winner of many international competitions, vocal teacher at the Odesa Conservatory named after A. V. Nezhdanova.
Biography.
Yuriy Mynenko was born in Radomyshl, Zhytomyr region. He studied at the music school of Radomyshl, piano class, graduating in 1994. From 1994-1998 he studied at the Zhytomyr Music College named after V. Kosenko, choral conducting class. After graduating from the music school, he entered the vocal faculty of the Odesa Music Academy named after A. Nezhdanova (1998-2004) and then completed his postgraduate studies (class of Y. Teteri). He has a rare sopranino or high tenor voice, counter-tenor. 2001 - winner of the all-Ukrainian competition "Voice of Ukraine" in Kyiv. Kyiv. Ukraine 2001 - Laureate of the International Slavic Festival, Paris, France. 2003 - Special Prize "Best Counter-Tenor" at the Francisco Viñas International Opera Singing Competition, Barcelona, Spain. 2004 - Grand Prix at the International Competition named after A. Solovyanenko, Donetsk, Ukraine. 2004 - Laureate of the Rimsky-Korsakov International Competition for Young Opera Singers, St Petersburg.
Concert activity
From 1998 to 2003, Yurii collaborated with the Kyiv "Ukrconcert", sang in such halls of Kyiv as the National Philharmonic, the National Opera, the Palace of Ukraine, the October Palace, the Ukrainian House; he works with the National Opera Orchestra of Ukraine, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, the Radio and Television Orchestra of Ukraine, the Kyiv Municipal Chamber Orchestra; in 1999, from 19 March to 21 April, Yurii toured Europe (France, Spain).
Yuriy Minenko is a permanent member of the St. Petersburg Catherine the Great Orchestra, which was founded in November 2001 by the Russian Foundation for Ancient Music and is the first professional baroque string orchestra in Russia. After completing his postgraduate studies, Yuriy Minenko taught vocals at the Nezhdanova Odesa Music Academy. According to media reports, Yuriy Mynenko has been invited to the famous Vienna Opera House, where he will perform the role of Siebel in a new production of Charles Gounod's Faust.
