Kostiantyn Mykolaiovych Mykhailov (29 December 1882, Krolevets - 3 April 1961) was a Ukrainian pianist, teacher, Honoured Artist of Ukraine (since 1945). Father of the artist Kostiantyn Mykhailov.

Biography
Born on 17 (29) December 1882 in Krolevets. In 1907, he graduated from the Kyiv Music School, piano class of V. Pukhalsky, and in 1913 (as an external student) - from the St. Petersburg Conservatory. From 1907 he taught at the Kyiv Music School. He was one of the organisers of the Kyiv Conservatory (1913), where he taught since its foundation (from 1917 he was a professor, in 1922-1926 - director). In 1913-1921, he was an assistant and secretary of the Conservatory's Artistic Council. In 1918-1922, he was deputy director for educational and scientific work of the Conservatory. In 1920, he was a pianist in the Red Army. In 1920-1921 he headed the board of the Kyiv State Opera Theatre. In 1923, he was deputy director of the Kyiv State Philharmonic.
From 1927, he was vice-rector of the Mykola Lysenko Music and Drama Institute. From 1932 he was the head of the piano department, in 1934-1941 and 1943-1953 he was the vice-rector of the Kyiv Conservatory. In 1941-1942, he was deputy director of the Tashkent Conservatory, where he organised an opera studio (its director in 1942), and in 1943, director of the Sverdlovsk Conservatory. Among his students were V. M. Vronska[ru], P. Vidkup, L. A. Weintraub, E. Y. Gurevich, U. M. Dubova-Sergeeva, M. H. Bohomaz, I. V. Zettel, M. Poliak, V. V. Sechkin, Zh. On the initiative of K. Mykhailov, children's departments were opened at the conservatories (1920-1922), as well as the Department of Social Education, on the basis of which the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy was established (1923). He was one of the organisers of the Kyiv Special Music School (1934).
Member of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks since 1949. Author of articles and reviews. He was awarded the Order of Lenin and other orders.

He died on 3 April 1961. He was buried in Kyiv at the Baikove cemetery.
