Gavrilo Martsinkevich (Russian: Марценкович Гавриил, Гаврилушка) (born 1741, Hlukhiv, Nizhyn Regiment - died ?, Sumy region) was a Ukrainian and Russian singer (tenor).
He was born in Hlukhiv, Sumy region (Ukraine).
Since childhood, he sang in the Hetman Kyrylo Razumovsky's Hlukhiv Chapel. He studied at the Hlukhiv Singing School and improved his skills in Italy. He sang the most complex Italian arias with cadenzas and melismas. He performed in the Hetman's Palace in Moscow. In 1753, K. Razumovsky brought the singer to St. Petersburg. He received his professional education at the Court Chapel in St. Petersburg under A. Vakari. In 1753-1779 he was a chamber singer for Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, then a soloist of the Court Choir (Chapel) in St. Petersburg. He sang the role of Cephalus in the opera Cephalus and Procris (music by Italian composer Francesco Araia, text by Russian poet Alexander Sumarokov) and the role of Alexei in the opera Tanya, or the Happy Meeting by F. G. Volkov (1756). He had a "refined manner of singing". Russian critics considered him a rival of such famous Italian singers as Farinelli and Celiotti.
