Biography
Music schools

As a child, Vasyl was taken to an "audition" at the Zvenigorod State Secondary School (director - Hryhoriy Hryhorovych Kutsan), and despite his love for the bass guitar (I saw him at a wedding!), Vasyl got into Bandura's bandura class.

Love for Ukrainian musical culture was instilled by playing the bandura by the first teacher - Lidia Sergiyivna Shcherbak.

The first attempts to compose their own works began at the age of 9. These were primitive etudes, waltzes and polkas for bandura. After seeing Aleksey Baranov's poem "Autumn" (mistakenly attributed to Aleksey Pleshcheeva) translated into Ukrainian, he created the first song.

In parallel with his studies and participation in competitions as a bandurist, Vasyl is also engaged in composition and improvisation with theoretic specialists Larisa Mykolaivna Krasavina (Cherkasy) and Volodymyr Ivanovich Gerashchenko (Vatutine). At the Cherkasy City Competition of Young Composers in 1987, Lyuty Vasyl's song "Robin Hood" won the Grand Prix.

He also studied at Cherkasy No. 1 and Vatutinsk children's music schools.
Glyer school

After graduating from school, in 1988 he entered the Kyiv State Higher Music School named after R. M. Glyer at the department of folk instruments. First, the class of teacher Lidia Maksimivna Chmelyova, then the class of teacher Olga Oleksiivna Turovska. A 15-year-old first-year student was given a warning for "Ukrainian bourgeois nationalism" — the student offered the teacher to read a course on the history of the USSR in Ukrainian. The "behind-the-scenes" games of the sycophants of the "system" led to serious consequences - I experienced "repressive medicine" myself. And after "coming out" - non-recognition and alienation from the world. However, Vasyl caught up with his at the end of the school, winning the 1st prize at the bandurist competition and the 3rd prize at the International Competition named after M. V. Lysenko. He arrived at the last competition with a temperature of 38, "leaving without permission" the infectious department of the hospital.
In Cherkasy

After graduating from the school, he returned to Cherkasy, where he later headed the Contemporary Music Center "Synthesis-Mix" of the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity, whose pupils participated in many out-of-town festivals and concerts.

In 2000, as part of the Cherkasy UNA-UNSO team, he participated in the "Ukraine without Kuchma" events. The repressive authorities throw Vasyl's friends behind bars, and he ends up leading the regional branch of the organization.
