Lykhovyd Vyacheslav Maksymovych

1946-1998

Ukrainian film composer.

Biography.

Born in the Grodno region (Belarus). Graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (1970). He led a variety ensemble (1970-1973), was a concertmaster at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute (1973), etc. Since 1979, he has been a concertmaster at the Kyiv School of Circus and Variety Arts.

He has composed music for a number of documentaries and feature films about the Soviet occupation of Ukraine: "Р. V. R. (1977), Don't Cry (1979), Prisoner of Second Avenue (1980, t/f).

Together with his wife Oksana Lykhovyd, he raised daughters Khrystyna and Mariana.
