Lunev Svyatoslav I.

Svyatoslav Lunev (born April 19, 1964) is a Ukrainian composer, author of symphonic, chamber, choral, piano and electroacoustic music. His works also include operas (Moscow - Petushki, Poorly Tempered Songs) and film music.

His works have been performed at such festivals as the International Forum of Young Music (1993-1998, Kyiv); "Premieres of the Season", Kyiv; "Kyiv Music Fest", Kyiv; "Contrasts", Lviv; "Two Days and Two Nights", Odesa.

Among the performers of his works are the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Kyiv State Philharmonic Orchestra, State Variety and Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Symphony Orchestra of the National Radio Company of Ukraine, Limerick Chamber Orchestra (Ireland), Kyiv Camerata Chamber Orchestra, Kyiv Municipal Choir, National University of Culture Choir, Ricochet Contemporary Music Ensemble, Harmony of the World Ensemble, MusikFabrik Ensemble (Germany), Alter Ratio Vocal Ensemble.

Conductors: Volodymyr Sirenko, Viktor Ploskina, Viacheslav Blinov, Valeriy Matyukhin (Ukraine), Fedor Glushchenko (Russia), Veronique Lacroix (Canada), Dermot Dun (Ireland), Mikheil Menabde (Georgia), Olga Prykhodko (Ukraine), Theodore Kuchar (USA), Herman Engels (Belgium).

S. Lunyov is a laureate of the Rachmaninoff (Kyiv, 1992) and Gradus ad Parnassum (Kyiv, 1993) All-Ukrainian competitions for young composers, winner of the Revutsky Prize (1997), the Lyatoshynsky Prize (2007), and the Verikovsky Prize (2017).

Author of the musical performance "Witness" [Archived October 27, 2020, at the Wayback Machine], which won the Bronze Lion [Archived January 23, 2018, at the Wayback Machine] at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.

Revutsky Prize of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine (1997). Laureate of the B. N. Liatoshynskyi Prize of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine (2007). Laureate of the M. I. Verikivsky Prize (2017).

Author of the musical performance Witness, which received the Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2017.
