Luc Bogdan

2004

Bohdan Lutz was born in 2004 in Lviv. He studied at the Nikolai Lysenko Kyiv State Musical Lyceum (Olha Korinets' class) and the Lviv State Musical Lyceum named after Solomy Krushelnytska (Maria Futorska's class).

Now Bohdan is studying at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland (class of Professor Oleg Kaskiv).

He has won numerous competitions. These include First Prize at the Carl Nielsen International Competition (Denmark, 2022); Second Prize at Il Piccolo violino magico (Italy, 2018); Third Prize at Lipizer International Violin Competition (Italy, 2020); First prizes and four special awards at III/V International Contests of young violinists Ill be a virtuoso (Poland, 2015, 2017); Third Prize at X International Contest of violinists of A. Grumio (Belgium, 2017); Grand Prix and First Prize at the International Competition "Lviv virtuoso" (Ukraine, 2017); Grand Prix and First Prize as well as Second Prize at two competitions International Competition of Bohdan Warchal "Talents for Europe" (Slovakia, 2014, 2016); Second Prize at XLVII International Kocian Violin Competition (Czech Republic, 2015).

He has participated in master classes given by Sergei Ostrovsky (Switzerland), Renaud Capucon (France), Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider (Poland), Gabor Takacz-Nagy (Hungary), Liviu Prunaru (Denmark), Igor Ostrovsky, Pablo de Naverán (Spain), Ivan Vukcevic (Serbia), Baiba Skride (Latvia) and Jean-Jacques Kantorow (France).

He has performed in Switzerland, Slovakia and Ukraine with orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of Copenhagen, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Košice Symphony Orchestra (Slovakia), Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Lviv Virtuosi and Trembita Chamber Orchestras, INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra, the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyivska Camerata".

Bogdan Lutz was a participant in the concert for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN.

Since 2019, he has received grant support from VERE MUSIC FUND.
