Petro Liubovych (1826, Staryi Zbarazh village, Ternopil region - 10 December 1869, Hrymayliv village, Ternopil region) was a priest of the Greek Catholic Church, Ukrainian composer.
In 1853 he graduated from the Lviv Theological Seminary. In 1854, he was called by Bishop Hryhorii Yakhymovych to be a conductor and manager of the church (cathedral) choir in Przemysl. In 1859 he was ordained to the priesthood. In 1860-1862 he was the administrator of the parish in the village of Sykhiv, Lviv district; from 1862 to 1868 he was the administrator of the parish in the village of Stinka, Zolochiv district; from 1868 to 1869 he was the pastor of the Greek Catholic parish in the village of Hrymayliv, Skalatsk district. He died in Hrymayliv on December 10, 1869. He was buried in the local cemetery (see photo).
His works include the potpourri "Favorite Ukrainian Solo Chants," the first example of Ukrainian piano music in Galicia, the author of music to the song "Peace to You, Brothers" by Ivan Hushalevych, liturgies for mixed choirs, piano, and other church works.
