Litvinenko Svyatoslav Ivanovych

Svyatoslav Ivanovych Lytvynenko (* 22 February 1942, Romodan (now Myrhorod district)) is a Ukrainian conductor, People's Artist of Ukraine, professor at the National Music Academy.

Biography.
Graduated from the Voroshylovhrad Music College, class of domra with O. Vasyliev, Kyiv Conservatory - 1969, studied domra with E. Blinov and N. Komarova, opera and symphony conducting with M. Gozulov, Vadym Hnedash.

He worked at the Sumy Music College as a teacher of conducting, instrumentation and director of the symphony orchestra (1969-1970).

In 1973-1983, he was the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Ukrainian Radio.

From 1983 to 1990, he was the chief conductor of the Kyiv Operetta Theatre.

During his 10 years of work with the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra, he made about 400 recordings for the radio fund, the vast majority of which were works by Ukrainian composers: L. Dychko, K. Dominchen, I. Karabyts, B. Lyatoshynsky, H. Maiboroda, Y. Stankovych, and I. Shamo.

He also has numerous recordings with leading opera singers - A. Kocherha, A. Mokrenko, L. Ostapenko, H. Tsypola.

In 1983-1989, he staged 15 musical performances at the Kyiv State Operetta Theatre: "Bayadera" and "The Circus Princess" by I. Kalman, The Tsarevich by Ferenc Lehár, The Sevastopol Waltz by K. Listov, Notre Dame de Paris by V. Ilyin, and Sorochinsky Fair by O. Ryabov.

Since 1996, he has headed the Academic Orchestra of Folk and Popular Music of the Ukrainian Radio, and teaches orchestral conducting at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy.

Since 2008, he has been working part-time at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre.

In 2009, he became the conductor-director of a large-scale project - the operetta "Sorochinsky Fair" by N. Gogol by O. Ryabov with the director of the production B. Strutynsky and composer B. Kryvopust.

In 2010, he was awarded the Kyiv Pectoral Prize for Best Musical Performance as a conductor-director.

As a composer, he has created more than 150 orchestrations for chamber ensembles, folk orchestra and symphony orchestra.
