Levenets Igor Anatolyevich

Ihor Anatoliiovych Levenets (born 13 December 1969, Kharkiv) is a singer (lyrical and dramatic tenor), People's Artist of Ukraine (2019), member of the National Union of Theatrical Workers of Ukraine (since 2006).
Biography.
Born on 13 December 1969 in Kharkiv.

Since 1974 he has been living in Sumy.

Graduated from Sumy Children's Music School №3 [Archived 28 November 2020 at the Wayback Machine] (1984). A graduate of the Sumy State Pedagogical Institute named after A. S. Makarenko (1995).

In 1995-2011, he was a soloist-vocalist at the Sumy Theatre of Drama and Musical Comedy named after M.S. Shchepkin (now the Sumy National Academic Theatre of Drama and Musical Comedy named after M.S. Shchepkin). On its stage, he embodied a number of different characters in both musical and dramatic performances based on the works of domestic and foreign authors.

In 2004, he was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

Since September 2011, he has been a vocalist (now a leading stage master) at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre. Artistically convincingly performed leading roles in the theatre's productions: "A beautiful voice, a wide range, inner lyricism, bright appearance, natural artistic talent and persistent constant work on professional self-improvement helped the actor to organically join the experienced star cast of soloists-vocalists of the Kyiv National Operetta" (based on the article [Archived 29 April 2020 at the Wayback Machine] of the theatre's official website).

For the role of Tasillo in the operetta "Countess Maritza" by I. Kalman, he was nominated in the category "Best Performance by an Actor" of the Kyiv Pectoral Award of the National Union of Theatrical Workers of Ukraine (2017).

Since 2019, he has been a People's Artist of Ukraine.

He has acted in television and feature films.

He took part in the tours of the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre in Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary.

He was invited as a soloist to participate in music festivals in Lithuania and France.
