Leonov Oleksandr

Oleksandr Andriyovych Leonov (12 July 1996, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian musician, pianist.
He was born on 12 July 1996 in Zaporizhzhia. During 2003-2012 he studied at the Children's Music School № 4 in Zaporizhzhia. Zaporizhzhia in the class of the teacher Walter N. A.

Since 2003, he has been participating in local Ukrainian and later international competitions.

In 2012-2016, he studied at the piano department of the R. M. Glier Kyiv Higher Music School in the class of methodologist and senior lecturer Y. V. Yablonska. In 2016-2020, he studied at the Kyiv Institute of Music. Since 2020, he has been studying at the Basel Music Academy with professors and .

He is a frequent participant of famous art festivals, concerts, and other events.

Awards
2013: 1st prize at the International Neuhaus Piano Competition (Kirovohrad).
2016: special prize (grant) for the best performance of a romantic piece at the DSCH International Piano Competition named after Dmitriy Shostakovich (Dnipro).
2016-2017: winner of the YAMAHA scholarship programme in Dubai, UAE (Yamaha Music Gulf FZE).
2017: third prize, bronze medal, Ivan Karabyts Special Prize, special prize from Professor of the Paris Conservatory Marian Rybicki at the International Competition in Memory of Volodymyr Horowitz in 2017 (Kyiv).
2020: 6th place at the Chicago International Music Competition
