Lahodyuk Neonila Hryhorivna

Neonila Hryhorivna Lahodyuk (born in Bohuslav, Kyiv region) is a Ukrainian jazz composer, pianist, and teacher. Teacher-methodologist at the K. Stetsenko Evening Music School No. 1 in Kyiv. Honored Artist of Ukraine.
From the age of five she studied at a music school, then with Professor Borys Mylych, at the Mykola Lysenko Ten-Year School, where she studied with teachers Budnytska and Freinkin, and also studied composition in Kucherov's class. For a year she studied at the Glière School with A. Kanerstein.

At the age of seventeen, she became interested in jazz. At the same time, she began teaching at the pop department of the K. Stetsenko Evening Music School No. 1.

In 1997, she graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Culture.

She worked as a highly qualified teacher-methodologist at the variety department of the K. Stetsenko Evening Music School No. 1.

Creative work
Composer.

She composes music in jazz, pop and classical styles.

She has composed more than 500 classical, pop, and jazz piano compositions, 20 compositions for saxophone and orchestra, trumpet and saxophone concertos, a rhapsody for two pianos, and two song collections.

She has recorded two solo CDs of her works.

Performer.

In parallel with her solo activities, Neonila was a member of the Yuri Sinelnikov Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble.

Educator

Neonila Lahodyuk is the author of a jazz textbook for students of grades 3-7 of music schools.

In 2005, she published her own "Jazz Etudes with Improvisation" for piano.
