Borys Laba (October 22, 1937, Turya Pasika village, now Perechyn district, Transcarpathian region - January 10, 2011, Kyiv) was a Ukrainian choral conductor, composer, and teacher. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979). Laureate of the State Prize of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (1995).

Biography.
Graduated from Uzhhorod Music College (1961, class of P. Gudzi), Kyiv Conservatory (1966, class of O. Minkivskyi conducting, 1987, class of A. Shtoharenko composition). Since 1960 - methodologist of the Regional House of Folk Art in Uzhhorod, since 1965 - choirmaster of the Bukovyna Song and Dance Ensemble of the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic, since 1966 - of the State Honored Bandura Choir of Ukraine, since 1970 - of the Honored Academic Folk Choir named after H. Veriovka. 1975-88 - lecturer at the Kyiv Institute of Culture. 1988-2005 - artistic director of the song and dance ensemble "Slavnotsvit" in Slavne village. Slavne village, Razdolnensky district, Crimea. Under Laba's direction, the choir won the title of laureate of the 1st All-Ukrainian Song and Dance Ensemble Competition (Rivne, 1992), and was awarded many amateur art reviews in Crimea.
