1972

Ukrainian composer, music producer, singer. Since 2013, he has been a music producer of the 1+1 TV channel projects "Voice of the Country" and "Voice. Children". Since 2018, the music producer of "Eurovision. National selection".

Biography

He was born on July 20, 1972 in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr Region. Mother worked as a cook, and father as a machinist.

From 1976 to 1982, he moved to Kazakhstan with his family. They lived in the village of Makat.

In 1982, when he studied in the 5th grade, Quinta's family returned to Ukraine. Ruslan went to a music school. He learned to play the bass guitar and in high school created an ensemble with which he played at weddings.

In 1989, he entered a music school in the city of Mozyr, Belarus, where the teacher suggested that he learn to play the bassoon.

In 1990, he transferred to the 2nd year at the Minsk Music School named after Hlinky, participated in republican competitions as a bassoonist, where he became a laureate and a diploma holder.

From 1991 to 1993, he served in the army in Moscow, played in the military orchestra of the honor guard.

In 1993, he transferred to the Kyiv Music School named after Gliera in the class of bassoons.

From 1995 to 2000, he studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky in the class of bassoons.
Creative activity

In the period 1993-1996, he worked as a musician and orchestrator in opera and ballet theaters, a children's musical opera theater and a symphony orchestra of Ukraine under the leadership of such conductors as V. Sheiko and A. Baklan. During this period, he toured with orchestras in such countries as: Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Peru, Colombia, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Sweden and South Africa.

From 1997 to 2000, in parallel with the conservatory, he worked as a singer and composer at Oleg Afanasenko's "Pioneer" studio. At that time, Kvinta had already collaborated with artists such as: Evgeniya Vlasova, Gallina, Olga Yunakova, Artur Kulpovich, Lina Skachko, Liya Gromova, Kostya Hnatenko, Alina Grosu and others. Then the composer met the poet Vitaly Kurovsky.

In 2000, he received an offer of cooperation from Yuriy Nikitin (production agency "Mamamusic"). After hearing Yevgenia Vlasova's performance of Quinta's song "Wind of Hope", Nikitin found him and offered him a job as a composer. During the period of cooperation, Kvinta wrote numerous songs for Ukrainian performers, including: "Love is poison" by Iryna Bilyk, "Jimmy" for the singer Gallina, most of the repertoire of Alina Grosa and Asiya Ahat, etc.

Also at the "Mamamusic" studio, in 2001, Ruslan Kvinta's collaboration with Sofia Mykhailivna Rotaru begins. During this period, the creative tandem of Kvinta-Kurovsky wrote the songs "Forget" and "Chekai" for the singer.

Active cooperation between Kvinta and Sofya Mykhailivna Rotaru began after the composer moved to the studio of the radio station "NRJ". In 2004, the composer opened his own studio "Kvinta production" on the territory of the radio station "Apelsyn" (since 2006 - "NRJ (Energy) Ukraine"). Then the hits appeared: "The sky is me", "One viburnum", "White winter", "Autumn flowers" and other famous songs of the singer. In total, about 20 songs were written for Rotaru by Quinta and the album "The sky is me!" was released.

In 2004, Ruslan Kvinta received the "Song of the Year" award for the composition "One viburnum" by Sofia Rotaru. Also diplomas "New songs about the main thing" for Sofia Rotaru's song "White winter", "Autumn flowers", and more than 20 diplomas of such programs as "Shlyager", "Hits of 2004" (Kyiv) for the songs "I will kiss your hands" Mykola Baskova, "Love is Poison" by Iryna Bilyk, "About You" by Yevgenia Vlasova.

From 2005 to 2007, he worked at the "Style Records" company. During this period, he collaborated with Mika Newton, and also wrote music and soundtracks for the film "Life Unexpectedly" and the TV series "Cadets".

He created the popular composition "Destination" with the famous Russian DJ Leonid Rudenko, which in 2008 entered the top 10 in Europe according to Billboard magazine.

In 2008, he returned to Kyiv, where he opened a studio in the production center of Sofia Rotaru. He continued to work on songs.

In 2010, he received an invitation from Natalia Mogilevska and started working as a composer and music producer in the TALANT Group company.

In 2010, he collaborated with Antonina Matvienko.

In 2011, Mika Newton took 4th place at Eurovision from Ukraine with the song "Angel", the music for which was written by Quinta.

Co-producer of the "INDI" group. On November 2, 2011, together with Natalia Mogilevska, he presented the musical project "INDI", in which he is the author and frontman. The musical group is the only one in the world that uses the bassoon in pop music.

Since 2013, he has been a music producer of the 1+1 TV channel projects "Voice of the Country" and "Voice. Children".

In 2014, Ruslan Kvinta's song for Alekseev — "Drunken Sun" became Ukraine's first platinum single on iTunes. Users of the application have downloaded the song more than 100,000 times.

Since 2018, he has been a music producer of Eurovision. National selection".

In 2022, he organized the International Children's Song Festival United Kids Festival, which is regularly held in various European countries, with the aim of preserving and popularizing Ukrainian culture abroad.
