KurylovIgor Volodymyrovych

Ihor Volodymyrovych Kuryliv (born 9 January 1954, Uhornyky village, now part of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council) is a Ukrainian conductor, producer, cultural and public figure, folklorist, singer, poet, People's Artist of Ukraine (2019).
Biography
1975 - graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk Music College.

2008 - graduated from the St Petersburg University of Culture and Arts.

He directed musical ensembles of Ivano-Frankivsk (in particular, the Hutsulochka Ensemble), Ternopil, and Belarusian Philharmonic.

Since 1995, he has been conducting Sofia Rotaru's concert programmes.

Since 1975, he has been a friend of the legendary Kobza band, and in 1999 he joined the revived Kobza original band as a vocalist.

He is the organiser and producer of numerous musical projects, including the D. Oistrakh International Violin Competition (2004, 2006; Odesa), the Oistrakh Days in Odesa International Music Festival (2007), and the Opera and Ballet Festival (2002, 2003; Yalta). He was the conductor of the 1st International Competition of Young Performers "Crimea Music Fest" (2011; Yalta).

2016 - Managing Director of the Hryhoriy Veriovka National Honoured Academic Ukrainian Folk Choir of Ukraine.

In 2016, he published a collection of poetry "Flutes on the Winds".

Igor Kuryliv also has a unique collection of Ukrainian song folklore.

2009 - Chevalier of the Order of Merit, 3rd class
2008 - Laureate of the International Golden Icarus Prize of the Hamburg Academy of Music for services to the development of Eastern European music
