Biography.
Serhiy Krasheninnikov was born on January 12, 1963 in Sverdlovsk. In 1977 he graduated from the music school in Lubny. He began playing jazz as a student at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1985, he moved to Smila by assignment. At the Orison plant, he organized an amateur jazz ensemble, which became a laureate of many jazz festivals. He was one of the founders of the Cherkasy Jazz Club, organized the Cherkasy Jazz Days and Jazz Stagecoach jazz festivals. Together with Yuriy Hrankin, he organized a jazz duo and performed at the Jazz on the Oder festival (Wroclaw, Poland, 1992) and in numerous jazz clubs in Western Europe: in Poland (1992-1993), Germany and the Netherlands (1993-1994). He is the leader of a jazz trio with which he has recorded 7 albums. In April 2004, he toured the United States and gave a solo concert in Chicago.
In 1998, he became the chairman of the board of the Krasheninnikov Creative Workshop, a public organization that received grants from the International Renaissance Foundation to hold the Cherkasy Jazz Days festival and tour the Jazz.
