Kozlov Valery Olegovich

1946

Valerii Kozlov is a Ukrainian pianist, teacher, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

From his life story
He was born on 18 May 1946. He received his musical education in St. Petersburg and Kyiv under the guidance of the famous pianist, People's Artist of Russia, Professor Tatiana Kravchenko. In 1983-84, he completed an internship at the Moscow Conservatoire with People's Artist of Russia, outstanding pianist, Professor Lev Vlasenko. He began his concert and performance activities as a student, and after graduating from the postgraduate programme, he toured extensively in Ukraine and abroad. He has repeatedly performed with symphony orchestras under the baton of renowned conductors, including: Banquet (Canada), Jenson (Norway), Kucher (Australia, Ukraine). He has a significant number of recordings, which are often played on Ukrainian radio programmes.

He is a member of the jury of many international and national competitions, and regularly gives masterclasses in leading music institutions in Ukraine and abroad. Among Valeriy Kozlov's students are Yuriy Kot, Oleksiy Hryniuk, and Andriy Bondarenko.
